At Rivermont Cottage, located 2 miles from the Blue Ridge
Parkway in the
mountains of Western North Carolina, you can spend your
time exploring
the surrounding towns of Burnsville, Marion, Little
Switzerland, Spruce Pine
and Asheville. You can golf right in the neighborhood at
the Mount Mitchell
Golf Course, hike to waterfalls, go tubing, horseback
riding or gem mining.
Or, just spend the day at home, at Rivermont Cottage,
where youll have all
the time in the world to rock on the deck over looking
the South Toe River
or fish for native trout.
The house is in a flat, park-like setting with 243 feet of
direct river frontage,
making it easy for you to enjoy the outdoors with level
walks and space for
outside play.
Enjoy your meal in the decks screened gazebo, perched
right on top of the
river.
In the evening, have a fire in the old rustic fireplace
surrounded by
hummingbird stained glass.
The house is fully equipped with a kitchen stocked right
down to the spices.
Just bring your own food! The dining area is right next to
the kitchen pass
through and will comfortably seat your group.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and attached bath.
The second
bedroom has two twin beds and the third bedroom has one
twin, for a
maximum capacity of 5 guests. Each bedroom has a sliding
door leading out
onto the deck. Fall asleep to the sound of the river
rushing!
